It’s a 5 hour flight from Atlanta to Guayaquil, Ecuador where we spend the night.
Tomorrow morning we fly to the Galapagos and board our boat.
Some friends flew from New York to Miami and then to Guayaquil. On this flight is my family, Phil and Reedy Hicky (Reedy is on the G-CAPP board), Kelly Horton and her husband, Wylie; Paul Hagedorn who is an art photographer from Atlanta and his daughter; and Cheryl Dixon, a business woman who’s been involved with G-CAPP for a long time. We are all excited about this trip which has been planned for almost 2 years. It is something we have all wanted to do but, in addition, it is a fundraiser for G-CAPP.
Two days ago the play had just started. (My watch says it’s 8:03pm).

Wow, a lot of people are going on this trip. Its going to be a lot of fun. I’m so, so, so, so glad you’ve decided to keep blogging. Its great! And your pictures are wonderful too.

I guess that masks are going to be an unwanted fashion accessory for a while. Australia has just encountered a few problems with Swine Flu too. I don’t think it will get out of control though.

Whoa, you have quite a group of people coming along for this trip. That’s really awesome that all of you decided to go and have been planning for two years. What is the fundraiser you’ll be doing for G-CAPP?
I hope the traveling isn’t too tedious. I’m sure if your knee hurts, sitting for long stretches of time isn’t exactly pleasant.
Can’t wait to see photos from the Galapagos!
All my best,
Amanda

Host a toast to Charles Darwin. After all, he suggested that we EVOLVE OR DISSOLVE!
