PL&M Benefit Premiere

My last film, “Peace, Love and Misunderstanding,” (PL&M) is generating lots of positive reactions. It showed at the Toronto film Festival and at the Woodstock Film Festival—where it was shot. I am excited by the feedback I’m getting. I’m also excited because next week the film is having its Premiere in Atlanta (Oct 4th) at the Woodruff Art Center to benefit my non-profit, The Georgia Campaign for Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention.” (G-CAPP). My loft is rented so I am staying with the other celebs in a great hotel midtown. We’ll start at 5:45 with a VIP event and silent auction and then go into the theatre for a live auction before the film.

Our live auctions are always fun and I feel a little like I’m selling myself for most of next year—walk-on parts, visits to sets (yes, I will be working as an actress next year, not just a writer and maker of fitness DVDs!), visits to my ranch for fly fishing and hiking etc, also to one of Ted’s Montana ranches, tickets to the Grammys and hiking out here with me to the Hollywood sign, dinner, etc., Fashion Week in New York with backstage meet and greets with some of the best designers, and so on.

It will be the first time I have seen the finished film—and with an audience. I can’t wait. I thought about dressing in hippy gear but decided to dress up more. BUT, the psychedelic bus (pictured here) is being brought down for an appearance and photos will be taken with all of us. For additional event information including ticket availability please visit www.gcapp.org Stay tuned!

  1. gear like your 1963 NY movie would be appropriate

  2. Oh I can’t wait to see this movie! I just feel that it’s going to be brilliant. I hope to see you in more films as you’re always so fantastic. And I’m not exaggerating, I saw movies of yours that I didn’t like that much as a whole but you were just amazing in them. I guess there’s a reason that you’re my favorite actress. 😀

BTW, that I am working on that Klute review, I just have very little free time as I’m going to take a German exam on Saturday (the day after my B-Day, it’s so awful!). 😀

  3. looks like it was a fun time.

Originally, mankind was happy and fulfilled. The earth, as it came from the Creator’s hand, had no decay or curse. All pain, suffering and death that now exists was brought on by deliberate rebellion against God’s love. The ground was cursed, after the fall, for my sake. God’s plan to rescue me from the ruin of sin consists of trials and troubles in my daily life as part of my training. Yet the world, though fallen, is not all sorrow and misery. Even nature provides messages of hope and comfort. After all, there are flowers on the thistles, and roses cover the thorns.

  4. I am looking forward to seeing your movie. When does it hit local theaters?
It sounds like there will be a lot of awesome items up for bid at the auction. I sure wish I could participate! It goes toward such an importance cause, too. I love the idea of the hiking/outdoor activity ones. When I was in LA I walked along the path in Runyon Canyon. Very crowded, but I loved that there were so many dogs there! Do you and Tulea ever take hikes together? Anyways, I hope the auction is a huge success. Just don’t get stuck with some crazy for one of the items that are spent with you.
Finally, the big question. What will your acting for this coming year involve? Give us a hint! Movie or television?

  5. Beyond excited to see this film rolling out and keeping the spirit of indie films alive and well! Keeps me inspired as an indie screenwriter… can’t wait to get out and support as the film hits more theaters. Kudos and congrats!

  6. Hello Jane,

Sounds like a little Hippy goes a long way.
“Peace, Love and Misunderstanding,” Looks likes like you hit on a subject of interest, us Baby Boomer looking for a outlet. We all are looking for something or someone or as William Shakespeare said “God has given you one face, and you make yourself another.” .All my life I had been looking for something. It took me a long time and much painful boomeranging of my expectations to achieve a degree self-realization. Sometimes it take a bus to get you there.

    with love and care,

  7. Now I know what I need to do for my next fun project: make a hippie bus with computer junk inside! Wow! Its a no brainer. It’s like what old hippies turned into: computer nerds, right(!), so inside you have fake nerds or maybe old games to play or being played by robotic gamers, like pacgirl on a C-64 (I still have one that works!)…far out man! OOps, I better stop now or someone will think I’ve been…
