  1. Geraldine Chaplin is great.Loved her in 1970 movie “The Hawaiians”.

  2. I think that Hollywood and the French do have some long understanding. Gregory Peck was close friend with French president Chirac. He said :Depuis de nombreuses années, il était pour moi un ami très cher. Gregory Peck was a dam lucky man.
Married French woman ‘Veronique Passani’, and they remained together for the rest of his life.
    Great man ,

Thinking on writing a sequel, for the two women in my story(scritp) they have another adventure.

  3. Hello Jane:glad you are enjoying Paris ,a place very close to my heart,I wish I could be there now but I’ll have to wait till October.
Seems like the weather is better there than California,so close to Berthillon, maybe you can have one on my name please.
I think you’re staying at Ile Saint Louis, a charming area,my favorite also…pangs of envy while I write..
Good luck mastering your french, you’re able to do anything Jane.Bonne chance!!!

  4. Lucky you, it looks like your having fun, and being in France in spring. That’s a double bonus.

  5. I guess I’m really board. but I was looking up actors and actresses ages. And I saw you have a blogg. And I guess I can reply. Being how many people must reply to these things. I don’t know if you will really receive it. But I a have seen you in so many movies. I’m in my early 50s. And I just have to say over and over. You are so beautiful. You seem very nice. None of really know you. We just watch you in movies or on a talk show. But you always look so beautiful. If this is really. Thanks for sharing your blogg with all of us.

    • Thanks for your comment, K,C. and welcome. xx Jane

  6. I cant wait to see the film. I am sure it will be riveting!

  7. Hi Jane,

Welcome to Europe! You must have fond memories flooding back of the time you once lived in Paris.

Don’t you just love sitting at a café having drinks after work? And the weather’s good at the moment, so you can sit outside and just watch the world go by.

I love eating and drinking in France. They make it such a pleasurable ritual – pastis, some champagne, the wine, with some olives etc. I also like the fact that in France you can eat simply and deliciously. You can order just a plain omelette for lunch. Made with real eggs…!
France is quite expensive at the moment, though.

I once met Geraldine Chaplin at an event in Cannes when I worked in the media industry. She stood next to me at the buffet and she just has this extraordinary face. Lovely.

Am sooo glad you’re keeping us up-to-date with your new project. Exciting, indeed.

    Best wishes
    Jason

    • …like right now, Jason, I just went for a walk with Tlea along the Seine…not as crowded as over the holiday weekend, almost full moon, someone playing the trumpet across the river…magic. People don’t seem as rushed.

  8. “… the process is just about as important as the product…it needs to be fun and humane.”

Wise words if ever I’ve heard them!

  9. Jane,
you have got to be the luckest woman traveling to Paris and I would love to take a couple of people with me to Paris too. And is there any way I can see you on the set? I certainly hope your movie becomes a success!
Hope you enjoyed the food Robert
    (Not Redford..)

  10. So glad you’re enjoying France AND the process–it’s always such a treasure when a movie shoot is humane, provocative and stimulating.

Even when it’s not, the creative will can steer you down some extraordinary paths.

  11. Jane~

Have to say…I trained at NYU and Strasberg (where I learned how to feel) and you and your work continue to inspire me. Your inside the actors studio interview floored me and then I caught Coming Home for the first time a few weeks ago–fell in love with you all over again.

Actors–we’re all more alike than we are different. Hopefully we’ll hear great things about each other soon. Cheers! xo

  12. Amazing how much that actress resembles her famous father in the picture. Why has Tulea been excluded from the caption?

  13. What a beautiful cast! I think the only film I saw Geraldine Chaplin in was Doctor Zhivago.

  14. Merci pour les photos de Paris, i.e. Notre Dame et l’architecture de la ville. We have to bring and sustain beauty in this world. Vous etiez dans une bonne place./SD
