GOLDEN GLOBE AFFAIRS

I forgot what its like around here at awards time. Parties and more parties. I know this sounds crass at a time when Haiti is facing such profound agony. Everyone at the parties has done something to help. My ex, Ted, gave $1 mil, bless his heart. I posted Clinton’s web site where people can go to help. I did.

Last night was a fun one at the Chateau Marmont where I used to go in the late fifties with Roddy McDowell to visit the actors making “Ten Commandments” and then later, over the years, to visit actor friends. What a history that place has, It was the NY Times Style magazine’s party. MY son and his wife were there which made it special for me and we sat for a long time with Bob and Eva Shaye. His New Line Company produced “Monster-in-Law.” Hugged Lindsey Lohan and congratulated her on the dress she wore which she told me she designed. Very dramatic.

Woops. Must go to tonight’s party. More tomorrow.

See you.

  1. Hi Jane,
It’s interesting when you tell stories of the past i.e. visiting acting friends with Roddy McDowell and such stories because we rarely hear of that side of you. Didn’t even know you knew Roddy McDowell! I always think of you as this whirling dervish one-woman show involved in acting but more interested in politics than hanging out with the stars.
I bet you have soooo many stories to tell of old Hollywood.
But I know you’re too much of a lady to tell all. 🙂
    Best wishes from Germany
    Jason

  2. Oh an update. great photos. Being British I’m very proud of the BAFTAs. Did you have tea with Scones and Jam at the Tea Party?
Jane Seymour and Jane Seymour Fonda together. Great.

  3. I just finished your last book. You look best with long straight hair, sideswept bangs, and you look really good with those dark-rimmed glasses. AND you are NOT too old for that hairstyle!

  4. Jane,

Your clothing is beautiful. Do you buy “off the rack”,and if so, where do you like to shop? You always look young and chic, but age appropriate.

  5. Jane,

Looks like fun, fun, fun. You look great. From what water fountain does Joan Collins drink. I believe she has written book on aging too. I imagine her to have a great wit.

  6. You have such exquisite taste! Where do you find such beautiful works of clothing?

Is it okay if I post the link to the current telethon’s website on here?
