It went well although Sunday I was locked out of my apartment (locked my key inside) for 3 and a half hours and it was really cold and rainy and I caught a cold so feel crumby. Still do. My scene had no dialogue but was a more intense than I expected moment between Guy Bedos (Geraldine’s Husband and a life-long friend of my character) and me. It was so cold out there in the suburbs where we shot. I didn’t count on this when I packed. Wardrobe will loan me some heavy sweaters today.
Here are a few photos of the shoot. I forgot to take any of Guy and me. Today I film some good scenes with my husband, Pierre Richard, and I promise to do better in the photo department…but I do feel lousy. Went to bed at 8pm (took a pill) and just woke up and took Tulea out…it’s 6:30am. Usually I wake up closer to 9am and call Richard who is about to go to bed. I also call him before I go to bed when he is just waking up. (( hours difference.) Dig this: Calling on a French landline, calls to U.S. Are FREE!!!

When I was looking at apartments in Paris last year I saw lots of them advertising free calls to U.S. One more obstacle to me taking an extended stay in Paris taken down. God is sending me a message. 🙂

IF there is a brightside of being locked out of ones apartment, then at least it is your relative anonymity in Paris. If it would have happened in L.A. the pictures would be in every tabloid, TMZ would have video of you and tulea, and the story would have been that you were returning from Rehab in Tucson and had relapsed from an undisclosed addiction and dropped your keys, while stumbling out of your Town Car! The last time I was in Paris, not only were the phone calls free to the U.S. but the mail was delivered 3 times a day and the pigeons were being fed birth control. Enjoy the shoot.

Perhaps you are trying to take on too much, too fast. What about that “vertical” existence you referred to in your book (which I read more carefully recently) as being something you yearned for. I identify so well with your life (minus the Hollywood!)

I hope you have a good shoot, coming up. Yes having warm things to ware is a problem. I had warm things for winter ,after being in Ireland and other part of europe to rest I went on to Hawaii for a time and took only light things too ware.
Not to go in detail , but I spent the winder in what I had in Hawaii, been cold. In my screenplay the Action all takes place in sunny California, and your character is living in Malibu in a very nice home. Your 3 and a half hours and it was really cold and rainy, sounds like a ordeal.
