Rod Stewart in Vegas

This Holiday weekend we took in Rod Stewart’s show at Caesars Palace in Los Vegas.

Enjoyed the show as did the packed house of Rod’s adoring fans. He sounded great, strong. He brings audience members right up on the stage and goes down into the audience where they touch and kiss him! Along with all the glam and glitter there’s an appealing, good ol’ weathered, football-playing (still!) bloke up there enjoying himself.

After the show some of the band and back-up singers and regulars gathered for a drink in his dressing room.

Unlike most of the big headliners that Caesars features, Rod flies home every night to be with his wife Penny and their new baby (and now his new grand baby). Nice work if you can get it!

  1. Hello again Jane,
we have been meaning to write you since the book signing at the barnes & noble in LA but we have been so busy.
we were the two young girls that were there and we also came to your event at the paley center. my girlfriend, mary is a HUGE fan of yours and she was moved yet again by your inspriring speech at the book signing. she double majored in women’s gender studies and psychology so she LOVES everything that you stand for in women’s rights and how great of an activist you are for women everywhere. we just wanted to write and say thank you again for being such a great role model for girls everywhere to look up to.
i run a website called http://www.bekind2oneanother.com that i created after all of the teenage bullying last year. at the end of every show ellen degeneres says “be kind to one another” so i took that as my inspiration to create this website…i just wanted to let you know that i featured your new book as the “summer read” on the site and i also linked it so people are able to purchase it. you can check out the site if you have time.
hopefully one day people everywhere will visit the website and truly be kind 2 one another…but until then i just wanted to let you know that i put your book on the main page as an inspirational read.

    thanks for all you do.

    Mary & Natalie

  2. Hi Jane,
After reading about The Bluebird in many of your biographies, and having never seen it, someone just posted 11 minutes of your performance on youtube.
