I got to experiance Vietnam first hand.At 17 I volunteered and got my wish. (be carefull what you wish for) Ten yrs in the Marines,2 Purple hearts and a Silver star later, no one could hate war more than I do. Its hard to believe this country could get ourselves into the same no win situations in two countries at the same time. That means we are twice as stupid as we were when we got into Vietnam. Our troops fight bravely every day, when the outcome will be to no effect in the long run. We cant be the worlds police force. As we see once again NATO is good at makeing resolutions, but when it comes time to enforce them you only see token forces, Why not,the US is always ready to let our sons and daughters die for some obscure cause, untill we move on to the next windmill. Im proud of our troops. But Im afraid many of them will be reduced to a name on a granite wall because of some politicians folly. Lets honor our fallen and bring the rest home.
