Dr David Satcher was the nation’s Surgeon General during the Clinton administration and is now at Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta where he heads the Satcher Health Leadership Institute and the Center of Excellence for Sexual Health. In 2001 Dr Satcher issued a remarkable Call to Action to Promote Sexual Health and Responsible Sexual Behavior. MAKING A DIFFERENCE FOR TEENS

I was at The Jane Fonda Center (at the Emory Univ School of Medicine) this morning at a press conference to announce the launch of a new program to stop teen dating violence funded with a generous grant from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. According to the 2007 National Youth Risk Behavior Survey, during the 12 months prior to the survey, nearly one out of ten high school students nationwide had been hit, slapped, or physically hurt on purpose by their boyfriend or girlfriend.…
