SECOND DAY IN WOODSTOCK . . . THE PROTEST
Jul 24.10

They drum every Sunday and when it's a full moon they go into a sacred meadow and do moon rituals where women and girls dance

Broadway and Film Debut 1960

hello Jane,
Having fun? It must be fun to dress up and get in to the part.
I think Jung was right “The creation of something new is not accomplished by the intellect but by the play instinct acting from inner necessity. The creative mind plays with the objects it loves.” Carl Gustav Jung .
As always Oscar Wilde seem to tell the truth “I love acting. It is so much more real than life.”
In some ways , the play is the thing, for you do live in a view of reality.
On twitter I have Christina Applegate, a very multi-talented person. I just read that Christina is engaged and expecting. In 2007 and was diagnosed with breast cancer the next year, She underwent a double mastectomy.
In April of this year she got engaged, nice to see a celebrity, especially one who has had a rough time, find some happiness.
Nice pictures. One of out ranch-hands has a car just like yours, except his paint job lacks the flowers and has rust in their place. haha
I am now addicted and came on to view your yoga blog, of all things. Why I don’t know but saw a 90 something instructor. Amazing.
I watched Cat Ballou last night with some friends/family and we had quite the laughs. I had never heard of Lee Marvin but he put on quite the show. A very good movie.
When Nat King Cole came on, both my father and grandfather told us of the tough times he had getting sponsors on TV even though he was a top entertainer. They told us it was just total racism.
Here you worked with a Nat back then and another Nat now. The young Nat, by the way, is also a singer/musician. His music writing ablities are miles beyond his age. I consider him an Einstein in that regard.
I asked my father about your connection to baseball (you have a blog on it) but I will save that for another day.
Bill
Great pics as usual Jane. Love the flower power bug. Looks like filming is going smoothly.
You look great!
OMG I can just feel the vibe of this film through the photos. Can’t wait. And the photo of you in front of your car made me laugh out loud. It’s my favourite already.
These photos have really cheered me up.
Thanks
all the best
Jason
Can’t wait to see this movie!
x
Thank you for sending me that it was lovely i really enjoyed seeing all your wonderful pictures looks like you had a great time honey:-)X
We live in Kerhonkson and were at the Rosendale Street Festival yesterday…rumor has it you are filming scenes for Peace, Love, and Misunderstanding around here?! Do you happen to know when and where?! I am a first grade teacher at Woodstock Elementary School and I am huge fan!
This looks like it’s going to be a very interesting movie! Can’t wait to see it!
No offense, but I have my doubts about this movie. The plot is kind of cliche, but the actors (besides you, Catherine Keener and Chace Crawford) are the downfall.
Mary-Kate and Ashley’s little sister who has only ever been in Olsen twin videos? She may be a New York theater actress, but that isn’t going to convince anyone outside of New York.
And the Naked Brother boy? Lizzie might actually be a good actress for all I know, but I can assure you that Nat is painfully horrendous. I have seen his show on Nickelodeon and he can’t act his way out of a paper bag…and he played himself on the show. Is this a really low budget indie film and those were the best production could afford? People are going to laugh because of those two and not take this movie seriously at all.
I know that Nat’s family has money and connections and this is how Nat and Alex get the majority of their work. He should start out small and take acting classes like everyone else. He doesn’t belong in a film with you.
Sorry for the rant, but I am just confused by this casting.
Dear Jane;
It’s so great that you visited Ulster County for this film. I know the drummer in these photos (Fre), who heads our drum circle in Rosendale. I hope you got to visit there – I spotted Catherine Kenner at our festival last Saturday! It’s a wonderful place to live and work, and I feel blessed. Will see your new movie. I still have your exercise videos from the 80′s, too! More power to you…
Great pics, Jane. Can’t wait for this movie!
We loved having you in woodstock great photos
come back soon,
Kristin and Lucy woodstck haircutz
Rock on, Jane Fonda!
Grew up in the 60′s and was part of the anti war movement. My favorite group during this time was Country Joe and the Fish..”looks like we don’t give a dam next stop is Vietman….” just change the lyrics next stop is afghanistan…. Peace and Love
Found you via Paris Parfait….
so glad! A great blog you have here.
I think I need to get back to yoga class after seeing some of those pictures….
Can’t wait to see this movie, I think you and Keener together in a film will be fabbie!!
Thanks Jane for bringing this to woodstock, its a community that needs support, there are not many places like this left..
Mike in willow NY (its still woodstock but its called willow)
