THE BERLIN FILM FESTIVAL WITH L’OREAL

I first came to the Berlin Film Festival around 1966 with the great film producer, Sam Spiegel (“Lawrence of Arabia,” “On The Waterfront,” and many others) bringing “The Chase,” a film about racism which Spiegel produced and in which Marlon Brando, Robert Redford and Robert Duvall, also starred– among others). It was written, by the way, by Lillian Hellman and directed by Arthur Penn.…

THE GERMAN SUSTAINABILITY AWARDS CEREMONY

Clearly, Germany has taken the lead in the realm of sustainability. Many corporations and other institutions and individuals from around the world compete for the German Sustainability Award and the attention it brings with. The reception area outside the hall where I spoke at the symposium on sustainability was filled with green products.

FRIENDS, FAMILY and BEETHOVEN

Here’s a photo of a white truffle, in case you’ve never seen one.  Not that money always equates with quality but this truffle costs $400 but a friend gave it to Paula. Good kinda friend to have, huh? It was Paula’s first time cooking risotto but it came out scrumptious and with the shaved truffles on top and a good green salad we were in heaven.…
