Hi Jane,
I saw you on "The View" you said you twittered and here I am.. I usually check it out just about every day. I have always admired you. You could be the reason I have exercised daily all these years. You look fabulous and you are a real inspiration. I love reading your twitter and blog.. makes me want to see your play. And yes I agree Rachel Maddow is very cool. I learn a lot from both of you.. keep it up!

Jane - would you remember me from decades ago? I followed you like a crazed fan all the way to your car when I was 18 in 1979 when you spoke with Tom Hayden at SUNY Binghamton, then saw you filming at the Mus of Natl History Rollerball one night with my parents, and then took your exercise class at the Sheraton in NYC and I said to you "this is our close encounter for the third time!" ... you look wonderful. Just saw China Syndrome after so many years the other night ... how quickly time flies!!!

Dear Jane Fonda
Through your acting, in your book, your blog your search for the truth is an inspiration to me.
In you pursuit of honesty you force me examine my own need for truth. And make me want to continue on my own creative road.
With Admiration
For all you have done.

PS Can not wait to see the play!

Hollywood VERY RARELY sees the likes of these classic actors. They'll ALWAYS be treasured.

Love you Ms. Fonda!

It really is OK to take a break when you are sick, Jane. Being in a Broadway Show is exhausting all on its own. Add sickness and all these interviews...and you're not 20 (nor am I). Get some rest girl!

I was in the front row of the second preview of your play (actually, for Act One I was in the fifth row, but had to move up to a vacant seat to get away from a man with too much cologne; one of the typical hazards of theater-going), but only today learned of your blog.

The play was engaging, intelligent and entertaining. Most importantly, it dealt with profound subject matter without getting heavy handed or dreary, or for that matter, self-important. It proved that you can explore powerful, if not tragic situations, while maintaining a sense of wit. Your performance was both vulnerable and self-assured. A real treat.

I had recently read your autobiography and was blown away, not only by the multitude of subjects you covered and the passion and honesty you displayed, but by the high quality of the writing. I was wondering if it was written with only the assistance of your editor, or if there was unbilled ghost writer helping you. In any case, one of the best autobiographies I've ever read.

One thing I would disagree with you about is your dismissal of your film Tout Va Bien, (although I can understand your disatisfaction with the circumstances surrounding the production). Admittedly, I'm a staunch Godard afficianado, so I'm biased, but I really think it is a remarkable film that is worth a second look on your part. (It is available in excellent DVD edition put out by Criterion.)

Being enamoured of you on screen for so many years, I was thrilled to have witnessed you performing on stage. I'm sorry I missed the Q&A you did for a recent screening of FTA, but look forward to finally getting that film on DVD when it is released in the next few days.

I wish you great success in this production and all the best in life.
